Thomas L. Melly
President, CIO-US

Tom joined Simms in 1990 and assumed the role of President in 2004. Tom codeveloped Simms’ proprietary quantitative evaluation methodology, which is used by the firm to continuously evaluate and adjust portfolio composition. Earlier in his career, Tom held positions of increasing responsibility at Lake Partners, Tucker Anthony, and Chemical Bank. Tom graduated from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and received his BA from Trinity College. He is a member of the Trinity College (Hartford CT) President’s Board of Fellows. Tom is also active in his local youth Skating & Hockey Club, having been a board member for 14 years.

Jennifer D. Miller
Principal, CIO-International, Portfolio Manager

Jennifer has been with Simms for 16 years, focusing on international growth companies. Jennifer codeveloped Simms’ proprietary quantitative evaluation methodology, which is used by the firm to continuously evaluate and adjust portfolio composition. She functions as the firm’s economic advisor, analyzing economic effects on the global markets. Prior to Simms, Jennifer worked for Salomon Brothers, Inc. She earned an MBA from The Stern School of Business at New York University and received her BS from Lehigh University. Jennifer is a member of the Lehigh University Wall Street Council, guiding students for financial careers. She is former commodore of the Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club and captain of a USTA tennis team.

Arthur O. Poltrack
Principal & Chief Administrative Officer

Art joined the firm in 1998. He is responsible for all financial reporting and administrative matters. He is Simms chief compliance officer. Prior to Simms, Art worked at Olympia & York and Arthur Andersen & Co. A CPA, Art graduated from The Columbia Graduate School of Business and received his BA from Middlebury College. Art is an elected member of the Region 9 Connecticut (Joel Barlow High School) Board of Education. He has a long association with the Boys & Girls Club of America, having served as a coach, board member, Treasurer and President of the Redding Connecticut chapter.
